There are many grammatical additions in Korean, and each has its own way of being added to verbs and adjectives
For example, look at all how different the changes to the words 알다 (to know) and 걷다 (to walk) are when grammatical additions are added to them:알다 | 걷다 | |
~아/어 (Lessons 5 and 6) | 알아 | 걸어 |
~ㄴ/은 (Lesson 4) | 안 | 걸은 |
~ㄴ/는다 (Lesson 5) | 안다 | 걷는다 |
~ㅂ/습니다 (Lesson 6) | 압니다 | 걷습니다 |
~ㄹ/을 (Lesson 9 and 26) | 알 | 걸을 |
~니 (Lesson 21) | 아니 | 걷니 |
~ㅁ/음 (Lesson 29) | 앎 | 걸음 |
~(으)려고 (Lesson 32) | 알려고 | 걸으려고 |
~(으)시 (Lesson 39) | 아시 | 걸으시 |
~(으)면 (Lesson 43) | 알면 | 걸으면 |
~(으)니 (Lesson 81) | 아니 | 걸으니 |
Our “Conjugation Tables” are an organization of every verb and adjective in a particular Unit, and how each of these words adapts to every grammatical addition introduced in the HowtoStudyKorean lessons.
All of this information is also available for free on our website by clicking on the “Conjugate” button next to each word in a vocabulary list. You can also purchase a PDF that has all of this information organized in a single document.
Click here to see a sample of the Conjugation Table.
Included in this sample are the pages that describe how to use the Conjugation Table, and the organized table for the vocabulary in Lesson 3 (Lesson 3 is the first lesson that has verbs and adjectives).
The Conjugation Table for Unit 1 and 2 can be purchased for $5 by using the “ADD TO CART” button below. We are currently working on the Conjugation Tables for later Units.
